Things to do in Paris (France)

Paris is the capital of France and is located on the river Seine Mearne. In terms of population, Paris is one of the three most populated capital cities of the European Union, with about 12 million people. Besides being one of the largest shopping meccas in the world, is also a popular destination for tourists because of the countless attractions including architecture, museums and  and a wealth of cultural activities. This and many other reasons are why there are so many interesting things to do in Paris, France.

The reason people come to Paris above all else is the attractions. Some of the majour tourist attractions include: The Eiffel Tower built in 1889, the Muséum national d’histoire naturelle, the Grand Palais which is a massive glass exhition hall built in 1900, the Sorbonne and the Louvre which is an extensive art gallery hosting the Mona Lisa and more. Other attractions include Arc de Triomphe, the Conciergerie and the Paris museum of modern art.

Paris is one of those cities that can’t be done justice in just one entryBeyond all the major attractions, also be sure to take a stroll through th city center.  Day or night, Paris surprises you with picture potential around every corner.. You can choose a theater session in the evening or visit any of the exquisite dining options. Some free options include: the Pompidou Centre, the Parc des Buttes Chaumont which is a beautiful natural park for hiking and long walks, the cemetery Père Lachaise which has a sample of the fantastic sculptures from that era made of stone, a fashion show at Galeries Lafayette, the cathedral Notre-Dame, or a simple and quiet puppet show in the Jardin du Luxembourg.

Paris is popular for a reason with countless things to do.
