Things to do in Asunción (Paraguay)

Asuncion is the capital of Uruguay and is the largest city in the country. Located in the Bay of Asunción, in the left margin of the Paraguay River, on whose right side is Argentina.

The central town of Asuncion brings the largest number of ancient buildings throughout the city. It extends from the Plaza Uruguaya and harbor, passing across the bay. Constructions like El Palacio de Los Lopez, the Town Theatre and the National Pantheon of Heroes. If you want to have contact with local art forms, especially the local folk production, we recommend visiting the Museo del Barro, where one can see a fascinating collection of ancient and contemporary crafts of Paraguay.

If you cross the Bay enjoy a beautiful view of the Asuncion. There you can enjoy to contemplate a beautiful view of the city from the other side, the Club Mbiguá. Besides this, the bay has been declared a national reserve space and sanctuary of the nearly 265 species of waterfowl that inhabit the area.
