Interview With Cezar From Imperator Travel

Today’s interview is with Cezar from Imperator Travel.

1. What is your name, where are you from and where have you been in this world?

My name is Cezar, I am a Romanian (born, grown and living :), but I traveled a bit around the world. It is a pretty long list if you want the details, I can summarise that I’ve been to 88 countries and invite you to see this movie:

2. What is your blog address? How long have you been blogging and what is the main focus of it?

I do actually have 2 blogs. My first blog is in my native language and it is already almost 3 years old: It is quite successful, I got the “best travel blog in Romania” award and lots of viewers and readers. I just opened its English brother: In both cases, I focus on writing about destinations around the world, but practically focused, with lots of tips and tricks on how to travel.

3. Besides the basic essentials, what is something you simply could not live without on the road?

I guess my camera. When I was younger, I had some memorable trips without a camera and now I regret. So, a good camera !

4. How has travel enriched your life?

Definitely – experiences, new friends on the world and so much knowledge you cannot get without moving !

5. Of all the cities you have ever visited, which 3 left the largest impression on you and why?

I tend to believe Rome – it is really a living museum, and as I speak a bit of Italian, I felt like home… Although very different from home. I also like Hong Kong, it is the place where you can get the perfect traditional Asian – modern Global mix and probably Istanbul where East really meets West !

6. If you could be anyone for a day, who would it be?

President of USA. To open all the closed and secrets files of what happen in the past 50 years and we don’t know (from Roswell to Arab spring)

7. In a perfect world, where do you see yourself and your blog in 5 years?

Best worldwide blogger with zillions of companies on their knees waiting to offer me everything 🙂 Joking. I hope to grow also the English blog to reach at least the readership of the Romanian blog and probably to become a professional travel blogger.

8. If you had 1 travel tip to share with the world, what would it be?

The people are much nicer, welcoming and helpful than everyone believes… I haven’t been in a place where people not to help me when needed. OK, there are some peoples which are more hospitable than others, but overall the people are nice. So. don’t be afraid to travel and mingle with locals. You will learn a lot !

9. What stands out as your best and worst travel memory?

Very difficult to pick up the best or worst… I would say a good one was when I visited King Mihai of Romania at his residence in Versoix, near Geneve, Switzerland and he welcomed me in his house and had a chat. The worst one – probably when I was attacked by pickpockets in St. Petersburg, Russia.

10. Please list 3 of your most popular blog posts?

I would choose from the English blog:
