For those looking for a getaway in the sun while holding on to all the luxuries and conveniences of a wealthy country, taking a trip to Dubai is a way to thaw yourself out while ogling over the evidence that makes it clear that this desert city is one of the most happening places on the globe these days.

If you are going on winter vacation in Dubai this year, be sure not to miss these incredible shopping experiences in Dubai, which only serve to put an exclamation point on the opulence for which this Middle Eastern metropolis is famous.

1) Mall of the Emirates

Weighing in at a gargantuan 700 stores (which includes 560 well known international brands), the Mall of the Emirates doesn’t lack in variety or choice.

While it contains a cultural and arts centre, a cosmic bowling alley and a state of the art cineplex that is 4K ready, the centrepiece attraction here is Ski Dubai, which is an indoor ski hill that uses an ungodly amount of power to make snow in the midst of a tropical desert.

The longest run is 400 metres, and it has five different slopes, one of which has the world’s first indoor black diamond run.

2) Dubai Mall

If a mall with its own ski slope isn’t enough for you, then maybe Dubai Mall, which currently holds the title of having the world’s largest mall, will be more to your liking. With over 1,200 shops, browsing its wares will keep the dedicated shopaholic busy for days, but if you are on a tighter schedule, be sure to check one of its candy shops, which is the largest of its kind in the world.

It also has an aquarium that has a tank that is higher than the famous gargantuan tank that Churaumi Aquarium in Okinawa has, and with an NHL sized rink, those seeking winter attraction needn’t confine themselves to the Mall of the Emirates.

3) Gold Souk

Dubai is infamous the world over for the superlatives that define its city’s immense wealth, but no experience underscores this more than a trip to the Gold Souk. Found in the more traditional part of Dubai in the neighborhood of Deira, the Gold Souk contains 300 merchants that primarily deal in jewelry, and throughout this older structure, the dazzling displays of merchandise worth hundreds of millions of dollars will make you subconsciously wish for the displays of wealth that are being dangled in front of your face.

If you don’t know how to get to these shopping centers, we suggest you to rent a car and enjoy a nice experience driving in Dubai.
